Nosoup4u Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I have on bass that comes to eat when the fish feeder goes off at my pond. I have named her Fontella. Some of you over 50 will get that. Did she say to you "Rescue me" ? We have a winner. A-Jay Quote
bassmedic46 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 I have called them names but have never named one. X2 Quote
lightsout Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Ive caught the same bass three times and my wife caught her once out of a pond. The bottum of her tail has about 1/4'' missing out of it. We call her "cowboy boot". Quote
InLikeFinz Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 The ones that throw my baits ALL have names.....and they aren't nice ones either. jason Quote
BassShephard Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 The ones that throw my baits ALL have names.....and they aren't nice ones either. lol Same Never named any but there are some I look for, these are bass with certain distinguishing marks. I caught one today that I will be looking for in the future, he is little but unmistakable if caught again. I've seen some with black spots as well, but I think they lose these spots after awhile? gotarheelz14 Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 The biggest bass I have ever caught got named. I used to have what is probably the fattest Gerbil in history. I mean this thing was a HOSS. Double the size of his gerbil brother peanut. My girlfriend and I named the fat one "Gus" and called him "Gus-Gus" like the fat mouse in Disney's Cinderella. When I posted the pics of my PB (probably around 10lbs) and I was tagging myself, I decided to tag the fish too. "Gus-Gus" haha! Quote
Beastie Bass Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 My buddy and I both caught the same disfigured, or possibly handicap bass! He was only around a pound but from the rear of his dorsal fin to the tip of his tail was WAY smaller than it should have been and was twisted at a 45 degree angle from his body! Maybe he was mangled as a minnow and managed to survive. we affectionately named him "The bass with no @ss." I hope to land him again just to get pictures! Quote
