basslover12345 Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Ok, Well me and my mom convinced my dad to take me to my first bassmasters classic for all 3 days in New Orleans, using my moms free southwest ticket, and by buying another one. I'm taking all my birthday, petsitting, and chore money to spend on new stuff and am taking some of my old bassmaster magazines to be autographed by any pro or legend I find. I'm REALLY EXCITED. I'm making it a priority to take as many pictures as possible and visit ever booth possible, and me and my dad are going to every weigh in! Quote

Super User Lund Explorer Posted February 6, 2011 Super User Posted February 6, 2011 Get up early and hit the boat launch/blast off in the mornings with your camera. There will be a designated parking area for all of the fishermen at the weigh in site. You won't be able to get into this area, but getting up near that entrance might get you some good pictures as well. And don't forget to post a report on here with pictures! Quote
InLikeFinz Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Awesome. You will enjoy every minute of it! Jason Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted February 6, 2011 Super User Posted February 6, 2011 You want to be there for at least one blast off. Get there early so you can see the pros launch and hear the National Anthem. There is nothing like it. Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 6, 2011 Super User Posted February 6, 2011 Outstanding! Bring a camera as you will see the pros walking around the conference center and get your photo taken with them. Get ready to pick up a lot of goodies. You will meet a lot of the manufacturers reps and see what they have to give away. Get an LSU tee shirt. Go the French Quarter and have some fun. See the Mardi Gras stuff. Ride a streetcar. Go to the zoo. Have a great time. And remember to get that LSU tee shirt! Quote
jignpig_72 Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Cool, hoping I can get off work and go at least one day. Quote

BiggerWorm Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 You'll have a great time. Get to the launch area (not just the area, the ramp!) and you'll get to talk with the pros and get some great pictures. Try both times, the launch and the load. I went a couple of years ago, great event. Sure gets you fired up for the upcoming season. Have fun! Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted February 12, 2011 Super User Posted February 12, 2011 Very cool ! You will have a great time. And when you get back post some of those pictures! OK? And you better thank your parents for doing this for you! Quote
