Super User Sam Posted April 5, 2009 Super User Posted April 5, 2009 Beautifully written article. May need to give 'em a try. Thanks for sharing, Glenn. Quote
Primus Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Good job Dave, I too am a gig fan of this bait. I plan on getting 1 or 2 more this weekend as a local tackle store has them on sale for the spring open house. Quote
Christop73 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Great writeup, I have a couple of these baits in my arsenal. I have never fished them though! Maybe this season I wil try them out. Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted April 5, 2009 Super User Posted April 5, 2009 guess i need to get the bait back out. Quote
Super User Micro Posted April 6, 2009 Super User Posted April 6, 2009 I bought some when they were first introduced and still have everyone I ever bought. Never broke a one (paint chips off easily, though). I've caught bass, a couple of stripers and nearly an osprey with these baits. Quote
ChiCityBasser Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I have a couple of these myself but have never caught anything on them and guess I will be reading the article and pulling them out this season. Quote
sambrochill Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 great article. I've been looking to purchase one for quite some time now but I've been waiting to hear some opinions on it. I'll definitely have to go pick one up. Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I tried these going by looks alone and i hated them! They had absolutely no action no matter what speed i used on the retrieve. For the same price you can get the BBZ 4" Shad which works wonders IMO. Quote
Super User Micro Posted April 8, 2009 Super User Posted April 8, 2009 The article says, "The bait did not look that good as it folds over on itself when sitting still." It does do that. Every time the bait stops, it's hinged over. It sort of looks unnatural. But it doesn't seem to make it less attractive. It does look a little bizarre. Quote

Avalonjohn44 Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 It's good to hear they fixed the design flaw by adding the metal pin. I was shying away from buying more than the one that I have for fear they would break... Glenn, you sold me... And handed Strike King even more of my $$$... Quote
