TrippyJai Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Other people! 1. Parents who don't watch their children who come too close to me and get in the way. 2. People who yell and scream around me. 3. People who throw things into the lake like rocks. 4. Boats that don't respect others while on the water. Quote

Taylor Fishin 4 life Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Yea jetskis and wakeboarder are a real annoyance especially on dam rivers such as lake austin or Lake dunlap in the summer and then some people even wear wetsuits and go wakeboarding in the middle if winter! #@$^! > Or the ones on Lake Austin that run between you and the bank. 50 points for a wake border and 100 for a jet ski ;D ;D Clancy W When Your heading at each other just cut to the right or left at a safe distance and let them catch that 3 foot swell. Most of the time they slow down or are stupid and try to hop over the wave at as fast speed and they just get the air knocked out of them Quote

Bass XL Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Wind for the simple fact that a lot of times I'm fishing on a pontoon boat (grandparents lake), so that thing gets blown like a sailboat. Even when I'm in the Champion, I hate the winds that'll leave white caps...hate them. A few people say how they hate the heat, but I love it. The hotter the better. Less fishing preassure on the lake, and the fish (to me) are more predictable. I fished a tournament last year with a temp of 109 . Heat doesn't bother you cause you likely have a top on the pontoon boat. (good fishing boat by the way) I have a clamp on umbrella on my kayak, another for my dogs of coarse I wish. Normally I'm fishing in a bass boat in the summer, but there is a lot of time spent on the pontoon boat. We had to take the cover off the pontoon boat after it was slammed into the ceiling of the boat lift :/ Quote

flippin and pitchin Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Biggest Annoyance When Fishing? Wet-n-cold For both quality & quantity now through March is absolutely my favorite time to be on the Bend but you had better plan on rain and temperatures in low 40s. That's our summer in my state. Super User grimlin Posted December 7, 2010 Super User Posted December 7, 2010 Ice and freezing temps. I hate the cold! I don't mind the heat..... 17 years in Texas, the heat ain't nothing here.Just stay hydrated and bring plenty of water & fluids.Sunscreen and hats help. My biggest peeve is watching some of these shore anglers breaking every law in the book.No license, over harvesting, keeping fish under the size limit. Another annoyance is watching one guy set up 5-6 rods all along a tiny bank space not allowing anybody else to fish there. My last fishing trip I ended up getting into an argument with a guy over this. There's a 2-3 rod limit as far as my knowledge goes on most of the places i fish.. My days of Bank fishing is coming to an end soon,I got a goal to get a small boat in my future which will allow me to hit places i know nobody else can reach. Quote
