Nice_Bass Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Sounds silly...but going to new lakes. I spend most of my time on 3 lakes (within 15 minutes of my house)...and only late in the season did i remember how much fun it is to go to brand new ones and do well. Just need to leave a bit earlier to account for travel time. That...and get a bigger trolling motor. Quote

Bass Dude Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Good question and some good answers. I think my goal is to get confidence in the drop shot. I always end up putting it away after 10 casts. Then I hear someone else say how much they whacked 'em with it. Quote

Super User Fishing Rhino Posted December 29, 2010 Super User Posted December 29, 2010 I'll be getting this tomorrow. It will surely help for planning trips to unfamiliar waters, and will interface with my Humminbird 898. I can study the maps, mark out spots that look interesting, then put them onto a chip that will overlay them onto the display in conjunction with the Hot Maps Premium chip. http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/landfallnav/NavionicsNavPlanner2.pdf Quote

tyrius. Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Go fishing more than I did in 2010, which shouldn't be hard because I only made it out like 5 times. Quote

MonarkMcfaster Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Well 2011 will be my first year fishing in a club so I am going to try to be AOY in the club standings. On my actual fishing I am trying to learn to be more versitle. Right now I am very good at finesse fishing but when it comes to throwing a spinnerbait...well I might as well just go home. Try to remain focused throughout the day and keep in touch with the fish. I have had problems before of not moving as the fish move. Quote

NateFollmer Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I'd like to improve my jig 'skills'.. I pitch, but don't flip much. I'd also like to throw hard swimbaits... I'm stuck on the soft ones. I guess this doesn't really apply to me, but I'd like to take more people fishing who don't usually get to go much. I like getting people hooked on the sport. Quote
