Scorcher214 Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Some of the Jackall lures i was looking at on TW looked pretty sweet. I plan to try the flick shake and a few other techniques such as the i-motion. Bass masters had an article on Japanese fishing techniques, t'was interesting. Quote

Not trying to step on any toes but if you're interested in using a flick shake rig you may want to do a little googling around to see if you can find a custom jig maker who can make em for cheaper. I personally buy weedless wacky jigs from a guy for around 50-75 cents each depending on whether I want them with Matzuo Sickles or Mustad Light Wires. The nice thing about custom orders is that you can also decide on the color, hook size and type of hook. Unless of course you're set on getting only tungsten flick shake jigs. I personally find Jackall wacky jigs to be a little pricey at $6.99 for 3. That isn't to say that I don't have a few packs of them laying around somewhere. ;D Quote

Gangley Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 The Japanese popper bait called "Yellow Magic" The most productive popper style bait in my tackle box. It ain't cheap(approx $16), but considering its a top water and I don't tend to lose them, they are worth their weight in gold. Quote

Scorcher214 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Thanks Nibbles, will look into it. And I would recomend to everybody: http://www.apstv.net/spb/spb40.html Raul posted it earlier in the thread but this is a great site. Even if i can't understand the language, it's fishing and it is helping me get through the winter. Plus you might even learn a few new ways too fish . A new place I want to visit is Japan now. The waters they fish are so beautiful! Quote
