Fishing the turnover

For you guys and gals that your lakes turn over, how do you attack and fish this situation?

Usually, depending on the size, lakes don't turnover all at once - I search for clearer water - usually found in shallower areas.

Good question as my lake is now turning over and I haven't fished since the majority of the lake has started getting mucky. My game plan is going to be to find some places that have cleaner water/water flow in shallower water and pitch tight into cover with various baits starting with 1/4 oz t-rigged watermelon/red rage craw and then experimenting from there. I have also had a lot of success swimming that same offering in the same areas recently!

Search for another lake in your area as they don't all turnover at the same time. If that is not an option work the bottom of your favorite structure & SLOW DOWN.

My home lake is turning over right now.  I went out last weekend and threw the arsenal at them for two hours without a bite.  Finally found the fish extremely tight to cover (wood on this specific lake).  Had to finesse them out of the brush.  Ended up with 10 keepers.  Weightless wacky watermelon senko (pretty clear water).  It was a nightmare to fish in brush but very productive. Usually just fish for stripers in the delta during winter but in the lakes we go up river and look for structure and usually dropshot and use jigs.We're also just starting to try shakyheading

I definitely agree with fishing the clearer water. I've been fishing some local ponds, and I've definitely been catching the most fish in the ponds where the water is clear.
