jiggerpole Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 OK, one of my neighbors caught a huge bass. He was so excited he, just didn't know what to do. My dad was on his pier fishing and offered to weigh it for him. His digital scales said 9lb.15oz. Wow! Nice bass! My dad pulls out a polaroid camera and takes a picture, then he say's to my neighbor, why don't you put the bass in this barrel to keep it alive and go home and get your camera and we can get some really good photo's of your catch. This is where it all went wrong. He was holding his prize catch and just flung it back into the lake. He then ran to his house to get his camera and only when he got back did he realize just what he had done. Unbelievable. He just sat down and shook his head saying, that was a really big bass I just thew away!!!!!!!!!!! My dad is still laughing. Quote

gotarheelz14 Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 So is the picture attached a scan of the polaroid? And by the way, hilarious story. My girlfriend and I were cracking up when I told her. Quote
Super User islandbass Posted October 14, 2010 Super User Posted October 14, 2010 If I were drinking coffee or something else, my monitor would be covered and probably ruined. At least you guys got a polaroid. Doh! ;D Quote
aceman387 Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 If i ever caught a bass that big i would probably do the same thing, heck i would probably wet myself while i was reeling it in. Quote

farmpond1 Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 It's good to know I'm not the only one in the world capable of things like this. That bass had a huge head. Seemed a little malnourished. Maybe next time he catches it, it'll have put on some girth and weigh 12 lbs. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 18, 2010 Global Moderator Posted October 18, 2010 I've turned big ones loose before looking at the picture on the digital camera. Caught a 7lber a few years ago fishing with a buddy and after I turned her loose and tried to look at the picture all I saw was a really close up picture of his thumb > . Oh well, just have to catch her again and get another picture! Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted October 19, 2010 Super User Posted October 19, 2010 I have a couple pictures of bass close ups but you can't tell who is holding the fish. Quote
