zaraspook_dylan2 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Hey looking for any tips on fishing early fall largemouth bass. Going out tomorrow was thinking spinner baits in shallow water for the morning then switch to a black/red jig with a black/ red flake chigger craw for a trailer. What are your thoughts? Quote
jazzy0017 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Idk what everyone is gonna think but in michigan I have been having no luck on anything but a spinnerbait and nothing but a spinnerbait. If I find baitfish I find bass and I cant catch em on anything else but my spinnerbait!! Quote

MMan16 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 I went out this morning from 6-9 and did fairly well throwing a Stanley ribbit. Landed 8 but had another 3 short strike and rip the legs off and a bunch of chasers. They all were in less than 5 foot of water and in lilypads. Quote
zaraspook_dylan2 Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 Not a bad day, windy, cold and it rained off and on, but we landed 5 and lost 2, biggest was 3#. We caught all the fish either in the pads or just off the edge of them in less than 3 feet of water, caught them 2 on a black/blue jig, 2 on white spinner baits fished on the edge of the lily pads, and one on a Gambler Cane Toad.. which is one of my favorites. Thanks for the help! Quote
