Daddyodo Posted September 18, 2010 Author Posted September 18, 2010 Sorry guys I am pretty new to posting pictures. Anyway how would you guy's fish this area. What would you use, how, and why. Thanks Gregg :-[ Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted September 18, 2010 Super User Posted September 18, 2010 What kind of weed is that? From what I can see in the picture I would have three main setups. A jig for the edges of the grass, the holes in the grass and the wooden posts, a punch rig for the matted grass, and something to work in the slop like a Spro Bronzeye frog or a weightless trickworm. How to post a picture. This can be found in the FAQ's http://www.bassresource.com/fish/picture_tutorial_mulitpics.html http://www.bassresource.com/fish/picture_tutorial.html Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted September 18, 2010 Super User Posted September 18, 2010 This is also an area that I would come to in the middle of a sunny day. A lot of shade to concentrate the fish. Quote
OHIO Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Always a topwater frog for surface vegetation. Pumpkin senko for the edges of the weeds. Quote

Perhaps a t-rigged worm or other plastic to work the edges if the fish aren't interested in the jig. Quote
wisconsin heat Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 skip a soft plastic under the bridge or dock or whatever that is Quote
DBatey Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Thats begging to be fished with a hollow bodied frog! Quote
Daddyodo Posted September 19, 2010 Author Posted September 19, 2010 Thanks guy's. I have tried a jig and a worm. I will have to get a frog. Gregg Quote
Flipsk828 Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 I would punch it with heavy jigs or weights, throw a frog, like a spro, or throw a wacky rig. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted September 20, 2010 Super User Posted September 20, 2010 Skip a fluke under there. Quote
Bass_Akwards Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 All of the above are great ideas. Punching the salad with a jig or a T-rigged Sweet Beaver is my #1 choice but don't forget, if you rig a Fat Ika backwards, it wll fall AWAY from the angler and UNDER those mats. Cast to the very edge of the salad with an Ika, and let the bait fall down and slide under. Weightless of course. Just for fun and something a little different, huck a shakey head under that bridge and see what happens. I'm betting good things. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted September 20, 2010 Super User Posted September 20, 2010 Looks like duckweed to me. Hollow Frog, T-rigs with loose sinker, jig, or bubba shot. Quote
