Super User BASSclary Posted July 29, 2010 Super User Posted July 29, 2010 Well guys, im starting to get into reading fishing books about Bass, what are your favorites? do they have good techniques to learn? What books do you own on bass ? Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted July 29, 2010 Super User Posted July 29, 2010 The Charlie Brewer book on Slider Fishing is a great book. You can still get it through the Brewer tackle company. There are lots of fishing books out there, but I am really at a loss to say which ones are worth re-reading. I think everyone should read the Buck Perry stuff about Structure Fishing and Spoonplugging. You will end up saying "huh?" and "I don't understand" alot, even so he is the father of structure fishing and for the most part defined much of the language we use to talk about fishing. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted July 29, 2010 Super User Posted July 29, 2010 Check into the John Hope Chronicles. There's some exerpts on this site. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/hope_chronicles.html Radio tracking studies done in the early 90's on big bass. Worth a read and info that proves that big bass aren't as hard to catch as many think. Just a matter of putting yourself in the right place at the right time. Quote
NateFollmer Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I have this in Largemouth and Smallmouth: http://www.borders.com/online/store/TitleDetail?sku=0929384113 But mine is from the early 80's HAHA. it's still an awesome book. I would recommend ANY of the In-Fishermen books. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted July 29, 2010 Super User Posted July 29, 2010 One book that can teach you a great deal about bass and bass fishing is Buck Perry's book on "Spoonplugging". If you haven't read it, you're missing out on a lot of knowledge about structure fishing. Quote
