Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted July 24, 2010 Super User Posted July 24, 2010 Man, I miss watching all the fishing shows that come on the Outdoor Channel and Versus on Friday evenings. What the heck ever happened. I was hoping at least Versus would come back after the Stanley Cup playoffs, now all they have is the stinkin Tour De France. I can't even find any of the shows that the Outdoor Channel had anymore. For the love of God, bring back my Friday evening TV!!! Quote
Big Tom Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I only get the outdoor channel and I always seem to forget about Friday night fishing. I caught some of it a few weeks ago and it was about 80% saltwater, 15% fly fishing, and 5% bass fishing. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted July 24, 2010 Super User Posted July 24, 2010 It's a seasonal thing. I think I saw a spot on the Outdoor Channel about Friday Night Fishing two weeks ago. I'm sure it's still going. Quote

I'm sure it's still going. Thats understandable. I wish it was a little more regional as well. Every time I check it seems that theres bowhunting on. Bowhunting isn't nearly as popular down here as fishing is. Quote
pudmunk Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 WFN !!!!! 24/7 World fishing network wfn.com It's most likely part of a sports package. I pay $1o monthly to have it via FIOS Quote

Super User BASSclary Posted July 25, 2010 Super User Posted July 25, 2010 It should be back after all the major sports events are over like the Stanley Cup Playoffs (which i didnt mind at all ) and the tour de france. Ive been waking up early to watch all my fishing shows and all they've been playing is junky Tour de France. (Which like Curling in the Olympics, I just cant stop watching). Versus, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put fishing back on! Quote
helms83 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 What are your favorite fishing shows? I like Bill Dance and Basspros. I've learned alot from these shows. I also like City limits and Reel in the outdoors. For competition, I like the Bassmasters on ESPN, Ultimate Matching Fishing (some of those guys are hailairious!), and when FLW has a tournament on. I think ESPN has a profile special of the guys in the Classic today around 1100EST. Quote
husonfirst Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I'm a cyclist as well so I follow the Tour. You'll be happy to know that today is the final stage. Fishing might not come back next week though. I'd imagine now is about the time they switch to hunting. They're already running hunting shows on ESPN2. Bucks of Tecomate...here we come. Quote

Bowhunting isn't nearly as popular down here as fishing is. I don't mind having bowhunting on though, considering it is tied for my favorite hobby. Although I do miss watching bass fishing in the mornings. But after about an hour of watching, I HAVE to go fishing myself. Quote
NateFollmer Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I love watching Bill Dance, Rolan Martin and City Limits Fishing. I have them all set to record on the DVR because I always miss them otherwise. On Outdoor Channel I like Classic Patterns, Strike King Pro Journal and sometimes Legends of Rod and Reel. BUT, WFN is usually on 24/7 BIG BASS MONDAY! Then Lunkerville on Wed. Can't beat it! Quote
