The_Natural Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 The Walmart dollar deals. Every February they have had baits on sale for about three weeks, and they usually mark everything down to a dollar at one point. The problem is every Walmart hits the dollar point at different times, so I have to make frequent trips to check prices. I just hit one about 20mins from my house yesterday that had all clearance baits for $1. I got 4 War Eagle spinnerbaits, 5 bottles of kick-n-bass, 20 bags of Ultravibe speed craws, 10 bags of Lake Fork Tackle Craw Tubes, 10 Norman Deep Little N's in Lavendar shad, 10 bags of Yum Zellamandars, and about 15 bags of Kinami Flash's in Watermelon and shad. I find deals like this too often...my backstock is as large as it is because I can't say no to dollar baits. Quote
BaitMS Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Yesterday I too hit Walmart. I picked up some Strike King (SK) spinnerbaits for $2 and some SK 3x lizards for $1. The best deal that I got was an Abu Garcia Record (RCN50) baitcaster for $49 (At BPS its $140). I couldnt believe what the lady said, "Yep, its $49". I said, SOLD!!!! Quote
basspro48 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Wow, yalls walmarts have a lot better stuff than the one in my area does, their fishing section is mostly crap. But the best deal I ever got was from a guy who lives about a 1/4 mile down the road from me. Back when I was just starting to seriously get into bass fishing he would take me out on our 50 acre lake and would teach me all kinds of stuff about where bass hung out, what to throw during different times of the year, and how to tie different knots. He also gave me my first baitcasting rig. Quote
links_man2 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Picked up a Shimano Cruxis reel and All-Star Rod for $40 at Academy. Had a tag that said floor model and was marked at $59, got to check out and it rang up $40. I paid and ran. The reel is normally $89-$99 by itself. Cheaper Shimano, but I really like them for the $'s even at regualr price. Picked up 2 more Cruxis on eBay for $65 NIB which were good deals. Quote
bugman Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Last year when Shimano changed the curado Walmart was selling the old models for $49.00. I checked about 10 stores in my area and bought five of them. I kept two, sold one at cost to my brother in law, gave one to my dad and sold one on E-bay for $125.00. I wish that I didn't sell the one on E-bay becaue I would like to have another one. I guess it's OK because I can still get one at about the same price. Quote
HPBB Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 about 4 years ago. I noticed that gander mountain had Chonarchs marked wrong in their case a chronach 100 super free for $125 and 100MG for $135. since they were display models I asked if he could nock off 20%. he said 10% so I bought both of them. as he was ringing them up he realized they were maked wrong. Still sold them to me with the discount. Quote
Jerkbate Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 A 17' 2000 model Skeeter w/115 Yamaha. I bought the boat in 2006 for $9000.00. It belonged to my mom. She won it new in 2000, and I am the only person that has ever used it. She finally decided to sell it to me last year. Quote
