brgbassmaster Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 just wondering why people choose the hud bug over the standin yabbie? the yabbie comes with a hook already in it the hud bug doesnt. the yabbies are cheaper and do exactly the same thing. Quote
Branuss04 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 The HUD bug has WAY better action in the water and seems more realistic than the yabbie IMPO. With the hook already inside the yabbie, you have no versatility. with the HUD bug you have numerous options on how to rig/work it. Quote
swimbait Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Hud craw : Looks real, rig many ways Yabbie : Looks like a lump of plastic, one option for rigging JMO Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted April 3, 2009 Super User Posted April 3, 2009 yeah hud bugs look like the real thing, yabbies look fake as crap. i thought there were pre-rigged versions of the hud bug available? Quote
Tanker4lyfe Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 I BELEIVE ITS JUST PREFERENCE. realism has nothing to do with it i mean come on look at some of the stuff we use doesnt even look like anything from this planet. once again its just a personal preferance id go with the yabbie looks good and is ready to go only one way you need to fish it drag it on the bottom with pauses and shakes and youll catch fish. JUST MY .02 Quote
Super User burleytog Posted April 4, 2009 Super User Posted April 4, 2009 I'd never heard of the Yabbie before this post. That thing looks like a perfect waste of money. Quote
Blue Streak Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 I bought a pack of Yabbies once and those little bugged out eyes were so funny looking I never used them. I think the hook was too small anyhow. Quote

They have pre-rigged weights. It's an external weighting system that helps it land right side up as well as other uses.... no pre-rigged hooked though. Quote
