SWMIBASSER Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Watch videos. I'm starting to get a decent collection. Read. Clean reels. I clean and service reels for others which can keep you busy. Organize tackle. Been doing a bunch of work on my boat. Quote

Super User Goose52 Posted January 4, 2010 Super User Posted January 4, 2010 The water is not hard here so I am still going out fishing ... but catching is very poor. There is a spell of sub-freezing weather coming up and I don't think I will be going out to beat the water so I need to do what RW said - clean gear and reorganize. The bad thing is that if I'm not out fishing, I'm more likely to be reading the BPS catalog or browsing BPS or *** on line ... then, look out - bait monkey time! I'm toast - my local lakes froze over in the past two days. Enough ice that I can't fish...but not thick enough to ice fish. What now? Quote
Jepu Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Ive made enemies with my wife by flipping and pitching from my kitchen, across the dining room and into the living room. I have hardwood floors so you can practice like your skipping docks. "Under the end table and slide it under the couch". It gets the cat going nuts too! Oh well, only a couple of more months, my dock skipping should be good by then. Ive been trying to get her to keep the christmas tree up longer too because it also makes a good target. Quote
