zach t Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Last week on a Pop-R. Fish went 4.5 and 3.5 respectivly. Straightened both hooks out. Quote
flyboy Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 When I was a kid, so young I can't recall my age, I caught two speckled trout on some sort of lip-less crank bait in North Bay near Lynn Haven, FL. About two months ago I caught two small bass on a Model A on a private lake southeast of Orlando. The two events were around fifty years apart. I have a buddy that claims he caught two on a worm. The worm went out the gill of the first fish and the second fish picked it up. I didn't witness that feat. Quote
kms399 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I was out a couple weeks ago and caught a little 1 lb bass and while I let my son play the fish at the boat another 1 1/2 or 2 lb bass came up and tried two or three times to grab the lure from the smaller one. this was like 5 feet from the boat. never did hook the other one though. Jacob Robinson Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Ive done it probably 3 times with crankbaits. I have doubled up tons of times on a double fluke rig. Quote
Stiller Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Never had it happen, although I've seen one bass trying to steal the plastic worm trailing from a hooked fish's mouth on at least 3 occasions. A second hook might have produced a double. I guessed it was due to our pond being overstocked and low on forage. Quote
Jacob Robinson Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I guessed it was due to our pond being overstocked and low on forage. That doesnt mean there isnt enough forage. That just means that they were really aggressive that day. I mean there could be some sort of competition there but i bet your pond has plenty for them to eat. Quote
