evrgladesbasser Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 senko X2 X3 and perhaps some spinners, anybody can work a spinner Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted June 11, 2010 Super User Posted June 11, 2010 Senko's, spinnerbaits, and small cranks. Edited to add: Live shiners....thats a stupid proof bait Quote
tnbassfisher Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Edited to add: Live shiners....thats a stupid proof bait Or any other live bait for that matter. If your friends aren't much into bass fishing, then they probably aren't going to be a group of "purists" who only believe in artificial baits. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted June 11, 2010 Super User Posted June 11, 2010 Wacky rigged Trick Stick or Zoom Finesse/Trick worm. Money. Quote
Nice_Bass Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 If conditions are right, put them on top water, noting is much more exciting, especially to a new angler. Also working the bait and being able to see it keeps them into it. Go with sluggos and swimbaits for sub surface. Quote
Super User Catt Posted June 11, 2010 Super User Posted June 11, 2010 Wacky rigged Trick Stick or Zoom Finesse/Trick worm. Money. X2 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 11, 2010 Super User Posted June 11, 2010 5" Senko, Zara Puppy and the original Floating Rapala. 8-) Quote
Captain Obvious Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Any weightless stickbait T-rigged should work in those kind of conditions. If your look for numbers match the stickbait to the size of the bait fish. I'd also suggest a curl tail grub on a jig head if your friends aren't that into fishing. Just tell them to cast it out and reel it in. I've been fishing a pond that is similar to the conditions you will be fishing in. I've been killing them fishing a Zoom Centipede T-Rig weightless Also pick the time you go fishing when the fish are feeding, Early morning or late afternoon are best Capt.O Quote
D4u2s0t Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 If they know what they're doing, I give people the same baits I use and go after some "big" girls. If i'm going out with people that aren't into fishing (the people that aren't into fishing usually get bored if they're out for a few hours with no fish) I set them up with a nite crawler and get them a few dozen panfish. At least that way they are always catching fish, and it's more fun. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted June 12, 2010 Super User Posted June 12, 2010 While all the above recomendations are great, and will catch numbers, IMHO the number 1 technique for putting numbers in the boat is dropshotting a finesse plastic bait. Not only will you catch both SM and LM bass from dinks to hogs, but you'll catch rock bass, crappie, walleye, carp, bluegills, pike, catfish, basicly everything. What could be more fun for novice fisherman than loading the boat with everything that swims, and it's easy to fish, either drop it down on fish, or cast and drag back slowly. Quote
texanbassangler Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 If conditions are right, put them on a buzzbait or a ultra-vibe zoom speedworm. both just require the user to reel, and the strikes are explosive and numerous. Quote
