Hello I am new to this forum and pretty new to fresh water fishing. I live on a small pond that happens to be full of bass. Do you guys think I should throw some shiners or some kind of fish food in this pond? Every time I cast a Fluke or a worm I catch something, although they are not very big they are really hungry.

is the pond private?  If so, they're not used to any kind of fishing pressure, which many times will make them bite a lil easier.  I would not recommend putting ANYTHING in the pond that wasn't there without doing some research and homework first.

Yeah its private. Basically its a retention pond. My first thought was they are thriving on their own, my second thought was I can fatten them up if I feed them. I am the only one who fishes this pond.

are they all small? if theyre stunted you may want to catch some and not put them back...

The pond is over populated most likely.  You need to cull the smallest fish.

How big is the pond?

You can google pond management techniques and you can find out how many fish to remove per acre.

I think I'd be sure who owns it and make sure they don't mind if you:

a. Fish it and

b. Feed them.

If the owner doesn't care, I'd go along with those who said take some smaller fish out. Up to 11-12 inches shouldn't hurt anything if they are plentiful. :)

70% are small but every once in awhile ill get one thats 2 lbs. The pond is about the size of a football field. How many do you think I should take out?

There are probably too many bass in the pond , you should start thinning out the small ones.

I agree as well.  On of the spots I fish here in Texas is a co-workers 6 acre pond that sounds like yours.  The only thing he added so years back is some Blue Gill but he asks for the small Bass to be removed.  He must be doing something right because there are some big bass in there.

A pond in your backyard! Do you have a supermodel living next door too. Lucky!!!

As stated above sounds like too much competition for forage, thin the heard if ya get the go ahead.

As far as how many to take out, I wouldn't know, but I'll bet you someone on this site will chime in.
