Top Water Bass

Can anyone tell me when bass start hitting topwater well in states like Kentucky and Tenn. I caught a fish last week on a spook in the timber. I know its got to be getting time. Thanks Travis

topwater bites start off few and far between beginning in late january early march. then start getting more consistant during april, in mississippi anyways

So the top water bite in Kentucky will be about a month later considering the cool temps.
