Bass_Akwards Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Just wanted to see who the shore anglers are and who the boaters are at BR. Do you own a boat/float tube or fish from ONLY from shore? If you have a picture of your rig, put it up here please. Quote
HuntFishAK Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I don't own a boat so I fish from shore. Unless I'm fishing a tournament or hook up with a boater for a trip. Mostly shore though. Quote
D4u2s0t Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I don't own a boat, buy my friend has 2 boats at the lake which I have the keys to, and have access to any time I want. I fish from shore off the docks fairly often when I don't have enough time to get out in the boat though. Quote
basspro215 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 just bought my first bass boat in jan. and i love it Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 22, 2010 Super User Posted April 22, 2010 Have a boat. Have a rubber tube for tubing, not fishing. Have a raft for fishing. Fish ponds from the bank, too. Quote
b.Lee Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I am a co-angler for my club tournaments, if not I am a shore/ belly boater. Quote
midnighthrasher Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 2008 Ranger Reata 186 with a Yamaha Four stroke 150hp. I love this boat. Its great for fishing and days with my family. Also have a 14ft aluminum with a 15hp Tohatsu. I got the aluminum boat and motor for my 8th borthday and it still runs like it was new. Quote
Skeet22 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Not the latest and greatest but it gets the job done.94 Skeeter Quote
Popeye Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Had a nice 16' ProCraft bass boat with a 75 hp Merc but only used it twice the whole time I owned it. I prefer this Freestyle H3 pontube at the lake I normally fish (no boats allowed there anyway). Still, I think I may get me another small bass boat later this year. Quote
Osprey39 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 This is my first boat of my very own and not surprisingly, I already want a bigger one. It's a pretty nice boat but it's kind of cramped with 2 hardcore anglers and their gear. I hate the rod boxes too. Very hard to get longer rods in and out of them. Other than that, it's a nice boat for your first. PS: Boat is a 2006 PT190TX with a 75 merc optimax on it. Quote
riverfisher Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 2002 Triton Tr-186 Merc 150 XR6. I shore fish alot run the creeks for smallmouth Im thinking about getting a yak soon. Quote
tholmes Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I'm mostly a shore fisherman these days. I sold my last boat about 15 years ago after an industrial accident left me with a compromised sense of balance and some mobility issues. I'll sometimes ride with a buddy, but I don't trust myself alone in a boat anymore. Tom Quote
intheweeds Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Strictly shore fishing for me. Sometimes I will rent a boat. I do want a boat. Quote

JigMe Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I am currently fishing from shore, but looking to buy my first boat this year. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted April 22, 2010 Super User Posted April 22, 2010 My paddlin' canoe. My larger, more stable, trolling motor canoe. Well, what little you can see of it with the rod rack and the trolling motor behind me. My latest acquisition. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted April 22, 2010 Super User Posted April 22, 2010 I've done more than my fair share of boat angling and shore angling (fresh & salt). This is one guy who'll never lose his love and respect for shore fishing. Roger Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted April 22, 2010 Super User Posted April 22, 2010 Once upon a time I fished from the bank alot. Then I acquired a little pond boat and a belly boat and I fished from the shore less. Then I got a better boat and I fished from the shore less. My current boat is a 2002 Lowe . I'd put up a picture, but I don't know how to post pictures. I haven't forgotten my bank fishing roots, but I'm older now and I'm glad I don't have to bank fish now. Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Gets me around just fine at over 60mph....................... Quote

Super User Shane J Posted April 23, 2010 Super User Posted April 23, 2010 Got a Nitro and a jon boat for small places. Quote
Back2fishing Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 My paddlin' canoe. My larger, more stable, trolling motor canoe. Well, what little you can see of it with the rod rack and the trolling motor behind me. My latest acquisition. I love your Z-7 ,very nice Bro. I have a 16 foot alum boat now but I will be looking at either a Z-7 or Z8 next year Quote
unageo09 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 1994 16 1/2 foot MonArk Bassboat 160 with a 40 HP Force Motor. Not a speed demon but it gets me to where I want and need to go. Quote
Leever Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 I fish out of kayaks mostly. You can get up in the reeds where an actual bass boat can't. Whenever I need a bigger boat I just call up a buddy and we hit the lake. Quote
