Thad Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Why would you want to do that unless your going to ride around and watch others fishing. Because we did really good last year during the exact same time. We'll get there Sunday evening, they're finished then. Don't know why I have to defend our decision of when to fish though. : Quote
SDoolittle Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I would like to go, but it's just poor timing for me. There's no way I could take off work. I wish it was in August. Quote

There will be people everywhere; probably one of the busiest weeks on that lake this year. Quote
Thad Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I know when the pros are there. We went the same time last year and it wasn't crowded to us. We were able to fish everything we wanted and we caught a ton of fish. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted April 13, 2010 Author Super User Posted April 13, 2010 The tournament will be over and we are fishing during the week. The lake will not be crowded and the fishing should be excellent. I hope some of the regional guys that haven't signed up will be able to come down for a day or two. I would like to meet you in person and maybe plan to fish another day down the road. -Kent Quote
oteymc Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Taking off that much time during the week is the only thing holding me back. I don't know how much help I would be in the boat dept either. Mine is just a small tin bass boat, and I'm not the most experienced fisherman. The person that was stuck with me would be sad. Quote
Super User retiredbosn Posted April 13, 2010 Super User Posted April 13, 2010 The guys whining about going to a place that you can rent boats should check into the price of renting a bass boat. The going rate here in WV is 200 bucks a day + fuel. I wouldn't pay a thousand a week for the priviledge of riding in a substandard boat. The boats you can get here are Lowe Roughnecks, under powered, loud aluminum, with small tiller trolling motors. Quote

That doesn't make it so everywhere though, and besides its still a great option to have when some people are flying in. Quote
