ShizzleHallowizzle Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 Recently the lake just thawed, which means the water temp is pretty cold. Are there any suggestions on how to fish a lake where the water is still in the 30's? Which baits to use, where to fish, how fast to fish...??? Quote
florida strain Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 deep water- suspending jerkbait- slow Quote
owl Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 At first bass wont be aggressive & they will spit it out fast. Ive tried craws and lizards but no joy. Ive had good luck white chatter baits. Chatter baits are really noisy and gets their attention. Give it a try. Quote
NBR Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Swimming Grubs on a 1/8 jig, suspending jerk baits on the north side of the lake. If they haven't moved up at all then a jigging spoon or a silver buddy. Quote
RichF Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Lipless cranks. Real slow. Let it fall, then do some slow sideways sweeps. Quote
