I think my worst has been a pair of polarized Oakley sunglasses. I was half tempted to dive in after them but realized I had my wallet, keys & cell phone on me. Unfortunately I just watched them disappear as they fell deeper and deeper.

If you had some nice polarized sunglasses on you could have watched them fall even longer without all that glare...

Sorry JG, CincyFisher has a point. ;D

I've lost more packs of cigarettes off the boat than anything else. The one that was the worst, I just started a tournament in the morning and the first run I lost them, it was a long day. ;D

You figured I would of learned, the first couple times but nope I keep losing them.

several sets of nice sunglasses

pliers

a few expensive rods and reels

god knows how many hats

lunch

a couple of gaffs as they've been ripped out of peoples hands - thankfully I buy floating gaffs

Probably a bunch of other stuff

I once literally dropped the pliers in instead of the fish. I then went to reach for em and dropped my hat that had my sunglasses and a custom croakie on it(why did i have them on my hat is still beyond me). I tied on a jigging spoon and managed to get the hat back, but gave up on the other stuff after a while.

I retrieved my buddies carrot stick baitcaster combo 3 weeks after he lost it in 10' water by dragging around a treble hook for 45 minutes.

I lost a st. croix rod.  It just fell out of my hands then jumped in to grab it and luckily I got it.

;DI've lost sunglasses, cell phone, hats, rods, and the worst was myself , here is the short story, as a teenager me and my friend went out in his jon boat .we decided we wanted to make a short run and i was the motor man, standing i pulled and pulled on the rope, it finally cranked at full throttle with the tiller all the way to the side. i got slung out instantly the boat did about three laps around me buzzing by my head before my friend could get back to it to cut it off , i laughed, my friend laughed , and the 10 fisherman watching laughed

Had a carrot stick with a Diawai Adv. do a somersalt off of Mcbootens Skeeter. Luckily the rod sock was still on and it had an air bubble in it. Circled around and picked it up. Alot of Strike King and Renegade polo. glasses. Thats why i but the cheap ones, because i know im gonna lose them. The Beast was showing me a new swimbait he bought on his boat and pretty much just threw it in the water. I thought it was supposed to be a slow sink, but it looked like a fast to me. We lost a dog on Jimzees boat. Poor Brody was wanting to lick a fish and got to close to the edge. One hat on the Kanwha river in WV.

My first (cheap) baitcasting set up, trolled for about an hour and got it back.

Several hats, usually they floated long enough to circle back and gab them though.

Top half of a two piece rod, came back as I cranked, startled the hell out of me though.

Last summer while night fishing, I replaced the 12 volt rechargable battery from my spotlight and left the discharged one on top of the food and drink cooler. Later when I went into the cooler for a drink I heard a loud kerplunk. Bye bye battery!

My worst was a Sage Sp 3pc. flyrod with Lamson lite speed reel total cost was over $1000.00 watched it fall out of the boat and rip down a river in Colorado. Just pulled the back up out and finished the day out. Alot of rounds were bought for me at the bar that night. lol (Now)  I have lost other things like sun glasses and cheaper rods , But my Sage is by far the worst.
