Blue Streak Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Gee Raul, it is 20 degrees here and snowing again. We already have about two feet on the ground and it will not be above freezing for at least another week. Can't hardly feel sorry for you. : Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted February 15, 2010 Super User Posted February 15, 2010 You're not going to get a lot of sympathy mi amigo - below is a recent photo of one of my lakes... Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted February 15, 2010 Super User Posted February 15, 2010 Hey Goose, What's that funny green/brown stuff? Looks like something I saw a few months ago. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted February 15, 2010 Super User Posted February 15, 2010 Hey Goose, What's that funny green/brown stuff? Looks like something I saw a few months ago. Ha - that's grass. We got above freezing enough to melt the snow on the ground...but not the ice on the lake. Actually - the lake in the photo has frozen-over three times this winter, with melts in-between. It just froze over again 2-3 days ago :-/ Quote
Super User CWB Posted February 15, 2010 Super User Posted February 15, 2010 My offer to come up and do some Ice Fishing still stands, Raul. In no way shape or form do I feel bad for you however. Like the saying goes- Until you have walked a mile in a man's shoes.... (or boots in this case);D Quote
Matt Kremers Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Now you guys get to see what a warm winter day is like in NY. I was catching largemouth through 8-10" of ice yesterday, and had a great time. We won't see open water for months. I do hope it warms up for you though, but only because I have a BWS tourny on Guntersville in < 2 weeks Quote
Super User WRB Posted February 15, 2010 Super User Posted February 15, 2010 Cold weather keeps the water cold, they will wait for you. WRB Quote

NasTMcfingas Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Could be worse, you could be living in a northern state. X2 right now we're facing another winter storm warning. All-in-all I think I might be able to get the line wet in mid to late March I hope. Quote
