Lucky Craft Man Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 This doesn't really recap anything, but here is a picture I took while walking along a stream that I was fly fishing (I just liked the pastoral qualities of it). Quote

RobE Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 That ia a really cool looking rock! I don't know if this qualifies as 'off-the-wall' but, I learned to build rods in 2009. Here is a pic of my second build that was a Christmas present for the wife. Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted January 14, 2010 Super User Posted January 14, 2010 sure set hooks, thank god theyre not all that. Quote
Super User CWB Posted January 14, 2010 Super User Posted January 14, 2010 From Kentucky Lake Road Trip. The rest of the guys were still at the bar. I know it's two but I couldn't resist the second one. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted January 14, 2010 Super User Posted January 14, 2010 This is one of the 3 bad things in my life this year. The boat and trailer were in the shop for 3 months. Quote
Shane Procell Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Whike shooting a everglades bass show for "Go Fish", this gator took a swipe at my bass. The bass got off and the Tiny Torpedo was stuck on the back of his head for several hours. Eventually he took a dive and I was able to get the lure back. Quote
hjerk24 Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Love this picture and the memories it brings back... Twich, Twich....SPALOOSH! Unfortunately, South Bay, up at Champlain has some choked out areas of Water Chestnuts, but the Bass and Pike bites were AWSOME....even if you did set the hook, it was tough to get them up out of the weeds. You can see in the pic that the trolling motor is up. We'ed come in on plane, and just float the weeds...with help of the wind. It was very windy, and the weeds gave us a lot of controlled drifts. After the drifts, we'd cut the chestnuts off (with Fiskar scissors) the trolling and big motor, run around and drift another patch about 10-20 yards on either side of the last drift. We had a great time, and I wish I would have Brought more Cane Toads...but man....what a "blast". Peace Quote

hjerk24 Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Had to share this "shack" on the Potomac. Sorry for the second pic, but it blew my mind. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted January 15, 2010 Super User Posted January 15, 2010 This is my favorite picture from this year. The splash and the boil from a nice fish is tough to beat. You can only see the back of the fish. But it catches the joy of fishing from a canoe on my favorite pond. It's hard to beat being able to lip a fish without performing gymnastic gyrations from a deck a foot above the water. By the way, it got off right at the boat. Quote
