Thanks Glenn, great post. One of my goals for 2010 is to get my Grandson out fishing more.

Mine is to concentrate on Jig fishing, and finally catch a fish on a jig.

( And get my Mom out on the boat for a cruise down Tiger creek!)

I'm going to take a youngster fishing this year.  Say, someone around fifty.   ;D

It took me two years to "get" the jig and soft plastics

have always been my strong suite!

Geez...Once ya get it, ya got it, but it was hard

for me, too.

My suggestion: Fish NOTHING but a jig on

occasional outings. Think crawdad moving slowly

over a rock and trying to hide. When you think you

are fishing slow, slow down! Fish jigs exactly where

you are currently fishing soft plastics.

My main goal is to make the cankbait a confidence bait.  I've got to get better at cranking.

Second, how to properly use & read my depth/fish finder.
