Eternal Angler Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Ice fishing really isn't worth the risk. Especially now since global warming is messing around with weather. Over here in Michigan we never know when the ice is safe enough. The only ice I would step on is on a pond or inland lake. It's not like it used to be. Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted January 3, 2010 Super User Posted January 3, 2010 Outstanding! Everyone should be watching this. Unless you have been the rescuer or rescued, it's hard to appreciate how dangerous water can be; let alone cold water. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted January 3, 2010 Super User Posted January 3, 2010 Good video. Having fallen out of a boat (twice :-?) I ALWAYS wear some type of flotation device. Most of the time, an inflatable belt type; at night or in cold water a full jacket. With the availability of inflatables there is really no excuse not to IMHO. Quote
Bass_Akwards Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Looks like canadians should be okay however. Quote
