Ice fishing really isn't worth the risk.  Especially now since global warming is messing around with weather.  Over here in Michigan we never know when the ice is safe enough.  The only ice I would step on is on a pond or inland lake.  It's not like it used to be.

Outstanding!  Everyone should be watching this.  Unless you have been the rescuer or rescued, it's hard to appreciate how dangerous water can be; let alone cold water.

Good video. Having fallen out of a boat (twice :-?) I ALWAYS wear some type of flotation device. Most of the time, an inflatable belt type; at night or in cold water a full jacket. With the availability of inflatables there is really no excuse not to IMHO.
