brushhoggin Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 SOLUTION #1 Drill a hole in the ice. SOLUTION #2 Take a vacation in the deep south. i'm in mississippi, thats pretty deep south.the lakes arent frozen and they're still not having it. i fished maticulously all weekend with not a bite. i'm going nuts. i cant wait till march but i have to. its like suffocating. bought a bunch of jigs for the winter. what a waste. Maybe next time you need to fish "meticulously." oops sorry, I forgot, no one mispells anything on this site, apologies all around Quote
diver_sniper Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I feel ya too. I was laying under my buddies truck the other night helping him change a flat. The windchill was 33 below. All I could think about was you lucky jerks down in Texas and how nice it must be to not have 2 feet of ice on all your water > Quote
moby bass Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Look on the bright side.....today was the first day of winter and the shortest day of the year. From now on, the days just keep getting longer! It'll be March before you know it. That's what keeps me going. I'm thinking about going out into the garage and putting away some tackle that's just laying on my table out there. It'll be chilly but it'll be worth it. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted December 27, 2009 Super User Posted December 27, 2009 The weather hasn't been too bad here in beautiful Cumberland Co. Tennessee and I've been getting out almost every day. Only had my rod guides ice up once when I was fishing at 29 deg. Water temp has been running about 42 degrees though and catching in my little lakes here is poor. I haven't caught a fish in December yet :-/ Haven't seen a bass since November but did have two nice rainbows follow my spinner back to the bank a few days ago. Now, if they just would have hit ...... Quote
