My biggest was about 16". I caught it at a farm pond on a Pikie knock-off that I made. I don't remember what time it was, but it was sunny with a slight breeze. Here's the bait:

Mine was caught at a tournament using a brush hog, watermelon candy color in the summer at about 9:30 in the morning. She was just over 4lbs.

Why is this question so important that you feel the need to start a poll?  Are you working on a research paper?

Same reason you have to take your precious time to post on this thread I guess?

I only measure the length of a bass to determine whether it is long enough to keep in a tournament.

My largest bass was 9 pounds 6 ounces.  I have no idea how long it was.

The day I landed my biggest bass, I didn't have any scale, ruler or camera.

I decided to keep her for my den, and laid her down next to the gunwale.

Her weight unbalanced my boat, and water came rushing over the gunwale like a waterfall!!!

To prevent my boat from swamping, I had no choice but to quickly toss her back in the lake.

I will not hazard a guess as to her weight & length, for fear of being accused of a "fish story"

I have 2 largemouth at 8-6 and 8-9. Not too bad for New England I guess.

Biggest was 14.7 and she was right at 28.5"

I guess she was looking for a small snack because she bit the BPS Super Finesse Craw t-rigged with a 1/0 Gammy and a 1/16oz slip sinker

My biggest was 23.5 inches and weighed 7 lbs 5 oz.  She was caught on a 3/8 oz spinnerbait with a colorado and willowleaf blade combination.

After posting I looked at the poll and there are six people who voted for the choice, "Larger than 28 - 30 inches long."  I would love to hear these anglers give us their stories.  Those are some freaking huge fish.

I remember your big bass Ryan, she was a real fatty.

My longest measured 28.25", but weighed 12-3

nope, not bad at all.  in fact, that's awesome. i knew you'd caught some nice ones, but nothing like that. those are real trophies for sure. even down here, many guys would call those fish of a lifetime. i would say that would be the equivalent of a teen fish in the south. congrats. now go catch another one. :D
