LunkerLMB73 Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 It would be great if you posted the location, bait, and weather of the time when you caught your bass. smallmouth bass are included! Quote
Fishwhittler Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 My biggest was about 16". I caught it at a farm pond on a Pikie knock-off that I made. I don't remember what time it was, but it was sunny with a slight breeze. Here's the bait: Quote
mjhutch1116 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Mine was caught at a tournament using a brush hog, watermelon candy color in the summer at about 9:30 in the morning. She was just over 4lbs. Matt Quote

Super User Long Mike Posted November 17, 2009 Super User Posted November 17, 2009 Why is this question so important that you feel the need to start a poll? Are you working on a research paper? Quote
preach4bass Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 She weighed 8-15, but don't know the length. :-/ Quote
daviscw Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Why is this question so important that you feel the need to start a poll? Are you working on a research paper? Same reason you have to take your precious time to post on this thread I guess? Quote
LunkerLMB73 Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 Is making the poll wrong? If you want you can vote on it. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted November 17, 2009 Super User Posted November 17, 2009 There is a running thread requesting information on largest bass caught that has already been put up this week. It comes up monthly(Or daily, weekly, or hourly). Do a search. Jack Quote
ArcticCat500 Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 wow. x2, you can cut the sarcasim n bitterness with a knife lately in any event mine was bout 24" to 25" and a chunky one thru the ice, I have some others that were as big but never realyy measured or weighed. Quote
mrlitetackle Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 in your terms, i dunno???? ....never measure them, only putt'em on the scale. Quote
Olebiker Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 I only measure the length of a bass to determine whether it is long enough to keep in a tournament. My largest bass was 9 pounds 6 ounces. I have no idea how long it was. Quote
JSJ Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 My biggest would be the one I have in the outing in the pics on here which would be 23 inchs around 8lbs Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted November 20, 2009 BassResource.com Administrator Posted November 20, 2009 My biggest are: 9 lb 1 oz Largemouth 5 lb 12 oz Smallmouth I have no idea how long either of them were. Quote
chubaka Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Mines was 18.5inches caught with a watermelon senko wacky rigged. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted November 20, 2009 Super User Posted November 20, 2009 The day I landed my biggest bass, I didn't have any scale, ruler or camera. I decided to keep her for my den, and laid her down next to the gunwale. Her weight unbalanced my boat, and water came rushing over the gunwale like a waterfall!!! To prevent my boat from swamping, I had no choice but to quickly toss her back in the lake. I will not hazard a guess as to her weight & length, for fear of being accused of a "fish story" Roger Quote
Super User Tin Posted November 20, 2009 Super User Posted November 20, 2009 I have 2 largemouth at 8-6 and 8-9. Not too bad for New England I guess. Quote
senko_77 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Biggest was 14.7 and she was right at 28.5" I guess she was looking for a small snack because she bit the BPS Super Finesse Craw t-rigged with a 1/0 Gammy and a 1/16oz slip sinker Quote
Super User senile1 Posted November 20, 2009 Super User Posted November 20, 2009 My biggest was 23.5 inches and weighed 7 lbs 5 oz. She was caught on a 3/8 oz spinnerbait with a colorado and willowleaf blade combination. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted November 20, 2009 Super User Posted November 20, 2009 After posting I looked at the poll and there are six people who voted for the choice, "Larger than 28 - 30 inches long." I would love to hear these anglers give us their stories. Those are some freaking huge fish. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted November 20, 2009 Super User Posted November 20, 2009 Biggest was 14.7 and she was right at 28.5" I guess she was looking for a small snack because she bit the BPS Super Finesse Craw t-rigged with a 1/0 Gammy and a 1/16oz slip sinker I remember your big bass Ryan, she was a real fatty. Not too bad for New England I guess. nope, not bad at all. in fact, that's awesome. i knew you'd caught some nice ones, but nothing like that. those are real trophies for sure. even down here, many guys would call those fish of a lifetime. i would say that would be the equivalent of a teen fish in the south. congrats. now go catch another one.
