I know Booyah bought McGuinness or at least bought the rights to use the leverage system, but I don't like the Booyah, as much.

Does anyone here know where I can get some original McGuinness spinnerbaits with the leverage system?

Also, I am the only guy here that doesn't think the leverage design is a GIMIC? When they first came out I tried them and the next day I swept up on them. My buddy was threw his bread and butter Hildebrandt brand spinnerbait all day long and I out caught him with a similar color. Also, once you stick them with the leverage design you usually don't lose them, especially when the spinnerbait gets up there in weight. I also like the fact that the hook rides a bit further back.

Prior to this design I hated using spinnerbaits. Had Bass throw the bait. I love them and now use all types.

I wont allow myself to buy any of them. I had my biggest Virginia LMB break one under the boat. I thought it threw the hook, threw the bait out again, got a biter, and it got off immediately. Looked at the bait and it had no hook. I had two and "retired" the other one in the trash. I did keep the blade though.

I'm a big fan of the buzzbaits.  Not sure where to locate some besides fleabay.  I caught my PR largemouth on one of the buzzbaits.  To date, I have lost only one fish on the original Leverage buzzbait.

Coming in first doesn't happen often enough, but when you do it is always memorable. My wife and I were in bass pro the week before my tourny, and I spotted a little 3/16oz Leverage spinnerbait in 'Naked Shad'. I mentioned it would be a great post-spawn bait, and she snuck behind my back and bought it....giving it to me that weekend. I won the club tournament on that very bait, and I guess the McGuinness has a special place in my arsenal. The skirt on that particular bait probably needs to be replaced, but I'm torn on whether to change it or retire it and hang it on the plaque I received. When my local Cabelas put the McGuiness baits on clearance; I knew what was happening ;). I bought several of the small and larger spinnerbaits, as well as a good stock of their buzzbaits. They worked well....hence the reason Booyah was interested in purchasing the company. If you can't copy a pattened hook design....just buy the company!

Keep checking E-Bay. They pop up now and then.

Just got a set of 2 spinnerbaits and 2 buzzbaits for a steal.
