Fat-G Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 This weekend we have a four-day weekend. It's over. This little streak I have of not catching a "big" fish is done. I will fish from dawn till dusk every day for four days if I have to. This weekend I hope will produce a 7+ pounder. It's all or nothin'. I'll keep ya'll posted. Till next time....... Quote

Super User David P Posted October 30, 2009 Super User Posted October 30, 2009 Don't try too hard, sometimes they come when you least expect it. Quote
bassmajor Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Keep your expectations low and have fun. That doesn't mean you have to lower your focus and determination. Good luck! Quote
BassDeaton01 Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Hey good luck man! Just keep your head in there. It seems like when I get caught up on catching a "big" one, I never fish one spot long enough. I'm always bouncing around and trying everything in my tackle box. Just stay patient and the big one will come! Quote
Steven Ladner Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 You better tie on a beetle spin to accomplish this Quote
broncoboxer Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 You mean they have 7+ pounders in Virginia? Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 If you wanted any chance of catching a good one, you should not have made the pre-trip post. Quote
EastTexasBassin Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Yeah, a pre-trip post is a good way to catch tiny fish. Big fish are also more likely to hit if you leave your net, scale, or camera at home. Quote

angler1 Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Hopefully this makes u feel better, its a true story.......the largest bass I caught this year was only 3 lbs. 2oz. And I put a lot of time in from march to october. The up side is my total # of fish is much, much higher than last year. There is a big fish out there somewhere, hope you find it. Good luck. Quote
