F($% this. I don't think we should let one person wreck this. It was going strong and everyone seemed to be enjoying it.

I believe I'm supposed to be next in line. I'll give Junior another week to get this straightened out. If I don't recieve anything I'll just pack up another box and send it to the next guy in line. Once it gets back to Clark he can send it to me, and then we can just end it that way.

Let me know if that makes sense to everyone involved

Sorry this happened Clark but unfortunately, the naysayers have been around this forum long enough to know that when you get 25,000 members you're going to have some unscrupulous ones in the bunch and this kid is exactly that.  Some of us have seen some really bad deals go down here by people that now have zero integrity.  

While I think a permanent banning is the least this kid deserves,  I'd love to see a "Don't deal with this member" board as much as I appreciate the "Good members to deal with".  It would serve a useful purpose and certainly help prevent this kind of thing from happening again.

Not ever going to happen here.  It's been tried on other forums, and turned into a huge mess - basically a complaint/dispute forum with the mods trying to mediate.  In addition, they've become mud-slinging fests.  Just bad all around.

Since you've been a member here a long time, you know I'd much rather focus on the positive things in life than the negative.  Life's too short to dwell on the negative things.  That's why we have a thread that highlights the good folks to deal with in the Flea Market, rather than the bad.

If it does get going i agree with the bunch of you that see it as a good thing and not something that one person should reuin. Hope it gets on track and lets let all the negative talk go like it was said earlier life is just to short.

Don't mean to be a negative Glenn.  More of a knee jerk reaction.  I've had my fair share of mis-deals though only one here.  I could see an issue of attempting to figure out who was righted or wronged on a deal gone bad and then deciding if someone was deemed "not good to deal with".

I'm just amazed that somebody would go on a public forum and completely trash their integrity over a box of lures.

I love that everyone assumes malevolent intent.  Do you really think he signed up to steal your junk?  He probably got caught up in some personal business, and for whatever reason (not saying that any excuse justifies this) couldn't get the package out in time.  At this point, he's probably read the posts, with all the insults, and probably won't return.  Mob mentality is fun to watch, LOL.

I don't believe this is the situation. It's not an issue of him having the box for a long time. People get busy, everyone understands that. It's the multiple times that there have been delays with sketchy explanations. Maybe he was sick. Maybe he was gone on a fishing trip. Maybe the box did get returned to him. Maybe he did mail it back out again.

That just seems like a whole bunch of coincidences. Especially when he could clear all of this up just by posting a tracking number, as he stated he would. That's what kind of seals the deal for me. The lack of tracking number just really doesn't make sense.

Like I said I could be wrong, and I'm giving it another week for the box to get to me. If Junior wants to keep the box, fine. If Junior wants to simply clear this up, even better. But the whole point of this thing was to have some fun, I don't see a reason to let it end like this.

I realize that.  However, in light of the things I have personally went through in the past month, the box of lure's would be LAST on my list of things that needed attention.  Maybe that isn't the case, and he's reneged on the deal.  Things come up, not everyone can be trusted, and that's why I said early on this would fail.  If you have stuff to trade, just put them up in the Flea Market.  Or have a swap meet.  So much easier, LOL.  And you could make it fun.

The "mob" as you call them is merely reacting to his own posts which don't indicate he can't get the package out on time due to honest personal issues but instead, include promises of shipping and providing the info to prove he shipped.  He further attempts to validate his honesty by claiming he has a very high, positive Ebay seller score.

He sank his own ship.  Too bad the guy who started this with the best of intentions got reamed in the process.

I've made contact with him a few times. Suffice it to say a lot of promises have been made. H1N1 has been also listed as an excuse. At this point if wagn wants to start up a pass then i'm down with that. Get with me for the guys addresses from my pass. If the box ever makes it back to you then i guess just send it to me. that way seems fair and nobody has to pay 20 bucks to play (10 for mine and 10 for yours). Just let me know. Hopefully my box will float back out but who knows. If it doesn't i'll let you know and just put me on the list to ship to and it'll come back to you in the end. I agree with everybody there's nothing saying we have to let one member screw this up for everybody else. I'd love to see this become a sight where these passes are constantly going on. Tell you what, guys. I think this was a good idea that ran into a snag. I don't care to speculate on why Jr. hasn't shipped that box. He knows why. I don't. But I do know that this Lure Pass has stalled and this thread has turned sour.

Thanks for the attempt, Clarke. You da man. If you guys were serious about hooking him up with a few lures/cash/whatever to make up for his investment, then count me in. But please remove me from the list of 10 Lure Passers. I have a feeling there's quite a few willing to take my spot.

Wow, this sucks. I was watching this thread and just enjoying reading about what each person put in and took out for themselves, thinking it would be fun to get involved with. I hate that this happened.

Junior if you're reading this you should take responsibility for this mess if it truly was unintentional. You're not a kid anymore, be a man and clear the air and explain what happened. Everybody makes mistakes, but letting this go on all this time now that you must know what people are thinking is just wrong. Ship the box and post the tracking number. You don't even have to go public with it, just send the tracking number to Clark and put this to rest. If something happened with the lures being damaged and you're afraid to say it, don't be. Man up and come clean. If it were me in that position I'd rather they think I was immature and irresponsible than for them to think I was a thief instead.

You should realize there's something else at stake here as well. Not just a box of lures. The entire idea that this sort of thing can work is dying among people who previously believed in it, and is just proof that it won't to those who thought it would fail from the beginning, they now think that even more than they did before. What these guys tried to do here was a great thing, and you brought it to its knees the very first time out and made a lot of people lose faith. You're responsible for that. Not just for taking a box of lures that wasn't yours.

I'm appealing to your conscience. You know what you should do. Whether you do it or not........we'll see.
