Steve_in_Maine Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Are there any good Bass fishing magazines? I'm looking for one that covers just bass if possible. In-fisherman seems to cover a lot of stuff I'm not interested in, so I'd like to find a better option. Thanks for any help Steve Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 27, 2009 Super User Posted September 27, 2009 You don't need any magazines since you found this site.I dropped all my subscriptions but if your heart is set on a mag. , you can't beat Bassn Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted September 27, 2009 Super User Posted September 27, 2009 You don't need any magazines since you found this site.I dropped all my subscriptions but if your heart is set on a mag. , you can't beat Bassn I also dumped all mine when I got involved with Bass Resource. It has always had more than I could ever get out of a magazine. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted September 27, 2009 Super User Posted September 27, 2009 Save your money, go to the top under fishing articles. That should keep you busy for a long time. Quote
looking4structure Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 This forum has it all covered. But I have a subscription to Bassmasters and Bassin and they are great to keep in the bathroom. Quote
Steve_in_Maine Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 You don't need any magazines since you found this site.I dropped all my subscriptions but if your heart is set on a mag. , you can't beat Bassn That's the truth!! Since I found this site, I've been reading and reading. I still like to have some magazines to see some advertisements and have something laying around to look at. Is there a website for Bassn? I did a google search for Bassn, and I got a sex/spiritual site in Boston.........LOL Bassmaster looks good too..........$15 is pretty cheap as well. Steve Quote
Steve_in_Maine Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 Found it..................Bassin is the correct one. Thanks, Steve Quote
JigMe Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I have subscription to "In fisherman", and keeping it in the bathroom. It is only ten bucks a year, just something to read. Quote
skillet Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Except for "Day on the Lake" which Bassmaster has, Bassin gets my vote... skillet Quote
luz2blaze Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 flw is good too! they have one for bass and one for walleye I really like day on the lake too. I signed up for the trial run(bassmasters.com) and watched everyone in ONE night!! ;D Quote
dman Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Bass West and Bass Anglers Guide are great mags Quote
Needemp Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Bassin, BASSMasters and FLW. Also be sure to watch every tournament you can on television. Watch the Pros very carefully. The more you focus on what they say, sometimes verses what they actually do, coupled with your experience, you begin to put the pieces of the puzzle together. This site is a good site and the articles can teach you a lot. But so can magazines. Also, keep this in mind. Not all Pros tell you everything. Not all articles are right and most of them are vague. And not everyone on this sight gives sound advice. In other words, don't believe everything you read or hear. In fact, a lot of it, whether Pros or ams, isn't helpful. But you are looking for a little piece here and a little piece there. Before you know it you are putting the puzzle together. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted September 28, 2009 Super User Posted September 28, 2009 I get "Bassmaster" mainly for "Day On The Lake". I also like to read up on the tournament results, and "What's It Worth?". Bassin was my favorite, however, they have major problems with my subscriptions. I've had three different subscriptions, and each time I only got one magazine. Falcon Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted September 28, 2009 Super User Posted September 28, 2009 BASSMASTER in the bathroom hasn't been the same since they got rid of Harry & Charlie. Quote
angler1 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 If you go to the ESPN website you can sign up to receive their BASS Masters mag. Along with the subscription, which is very affordable, you will become a member of BASS and will also receive issues of BASS Times, which is kinda like a newspaper. Go to Barnes and Noble to where they have mags, they have lots that you won't have to wait for in the mail. Quote
