Super User SirSnookalot Posted August 6, 2009 Super User Posted August 6, 2009 Majority of my fishing is bank, surf or pier and I stand 100% of the time. I off shore fish once a week and probably sit maybe 25% of the time. Quote
cancoon44 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I stand most of the time until back starts to hurt then sit for a few minutes Quote
SWH Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I fish from the banks of the ponds here in my neighborhood so i stand 90-100 percent of the time only time i sit is if i get a sore back from fishing to long then i sit on my takle box or ground for 5 or so min and back to the feet. Quote
Eddie Munster Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I try to stand as much as possible. I fish out of an 8' Pond Prowler and it took me some time to get used to standing in it. I have found they are pretty steady on the water. I feel I have way more control of my casts when I stand but I do alright sitting too. I have the 9' one and rarely stand although the boat is pretty stable. I just go with Churchill's statement of 'Why stand when you can sit?'. Quote
NBR Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I usually stand an d lean against my butt seal. When the legs and back are tired I'll sit. Quote
