Super User Paul Roberts Posted July 31, 2009 Super User Posted July 31, 2009 I guess I actually COULD go just about anywhere. But I don't get enough time on my own local waters as it is. I'd love to knock off work today and hit one of my ponds. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 31, 2009 Super User Posted July 31, 2009 Can anyone imagine being in the same boat, on the same body of water with Catt and Matt Fly, during the college football season? Question: who would wind up in the water first? Quote

Question: who would wind up in the water first? Depends on whether or not YOU are operating the trolling motor!! : Quote

I used to fish it fairly regularly in the mid-late 90's. The pros won't ruin it... there will be a little more pressure, but by nature of the location I doubt it will ever be hammered unless a state record comes out of it. Quote
mrlitetackle Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 any of the small and private farm ponds that bill dance fishes in his shows IMO, way more productive than any large lake could be (in a short period of time at least), in terms of catching multiple "large fish" (5lbs +) Quote

bassman31783 Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 I was fortunate to grow up 20-30min from Lake Fork. Sadly I have moved, but only 2hrs away now so I still get to fish it consistently. As for other lakes I would have to go with. -Falcon -Amistad -Castaic -El Salto -Huites Quote
Super User Muddy Posted August 1, 2009 Super User Posted August 1, 2009 Please don't take this wrong I would rather spend 2 days talking with Raul ( notebook and pencil on hand) than to fish with him. Quote

Super User Fishing Rhino Posted August 1, 2009 Super User Posted August 1, 2009 If you could, WHERE? I can. So right in my honey hole which in a direct line from my house is only a drive, fairway metal, and a seven iron across the road. There are dozens of places I'd love to try, but I don't have them listed according to priority. But this one thing I am sure of. If I had no access to the pond I regularly fish, it would be at the top of my list. Fish like these are routinely caught on a day's fishing. I am extremely grateful to have access to this natural, unmanaged pond. I doubt ten percent of the town's residents know it exists. It has produced this kind of fishing year after year for decades. The only change is that it was once a smallmouth pond. Quote
