today i used the rapala dives to 6 feet crankbait for the first time.  actually it was the first time i ever used a crank bait and had moderate success with it.  When i went to put it back in my tackle box i noticed that on both sides of it had a crack.  I compared it to the other one i have and the other one didnt have it. the cracks start from where the lip meet the body and goes about 3/4 inch on both sides.  They are not big but you can feel em when you run your finger down it.  My question is can i just take some super glue to the cracks to make sure that they dont get bigger or should i just consider it a goner.

dont know if you can fix it but the same thing happened to me the first time out of the package without it banging anything.

would it be possible to post a picture of the cracks?

i'm not sure from your post exactly what they're like.

are they just in the clear coat or is the actual bait itself cracked?

depending on the crack you could fix it, but whether you can fix it or not, fish that sucker till you can't fish it anymore; they're good baits!

Send it to Rapala and they will replace it.

either call rapala or try to return it to where you bought it.

I have sent lures back to Rapala at least twice and received replacements both times. Also to other companies. Why eat the cost for their defect?

I agree with Marty. You should send it back to Rapala. I know of guys getting an extra bait when they sent one back, because of defect.
