Watched A day on the lake this morning and there is Bink Desaro sight fishing with my secret spring time weapon. No one in my area fishes with the Ultimate Bluegill, thanks Bink.

Looks like I'm gonna have to try these out.  How easy are they to fish shallow at a slow pace?  I know they are heavy and that usually means they have to be fished faster to be kept off the bottom.

Heavy bait does not equal fast retrieve, with swimbaits it 's as fast as necessary to make the bait tail wiggle, which with Matt 's baits is quite slow because the baits are very well made and quite soft.

Waking a Mattlures Bluegill is one of my favorite ways to get it eaten. *weird high pitched voice* " Doo do doo, i'm a clueless little bluegill, man what a nice day, that milfoil sure is pretty...wait whats that?....oh $%^t!!!! SPLOOSH!!!!!" Its a beatiful thing.

You don't have to fish real fast to keep them off bottom, but you should also decide if you don't infact want them on the bottom.
