Mattlures Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 These are two different bass, guess how much they weigh? "Hint" they were weighed on a rocking boat with the scale fluctuating a little so we settled on the middle of the numbers. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted July 7, 2009 Super User Posted July 7, 2009 9lbs 5 ozs 10lbs 1oz edit: there Quote
Mattlures Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 those are 2 different bass 4Bizz so you gotta guess twice Quote
Lucky Craft Man Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I maybe an idiot here, but what kind of bass are those? Quote
Culln5 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I maybe an idiot here, but what kind of bass are those? Hmmmm..... I think my eyes (or the camera) may be playing a trick on me cause they look sick or something? Quote
benito Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Sorry for my ignorance - but I'm very confused by this post.... First, those don't look anything like LM Bass - what kind of fish are they? If they are LM, they're the wierdest/most unusual ones I've ever seen.... Also, don't look anything like a "PB" for Mattlures - I thought he had caught several "teen" fish? Those are good-sized fish, but don't look like that big to me... Quote
Jake. Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I think those are Calico Bass, they are a saltwater fish native to the Pacific. But I might be wrong. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted July 7, 2009 Super User Posted July 7, 2009 1st 12lbs, 2nd 14lbs Quote
Mattlures Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 ha ha yes they are calico bass. Verry cool fish. My pb LMB is 17.2 these fish do not get that big. I think the world record is 14lbs. I have only been fishing for calicos about 15 times, so my PB is not that impresive yet but I have just figured out where the big ones are and how to catch them. The top fish went 6 and the bottom went 5. (Iknow they look bigger thats why I did the guessing post )Those are big calicos but not huge a 10 lber is like a 15lb lmb my little 6lber is about equal to an 8-9 lb lmb. I will get bigger! Funny you guys thought they were sick LMB ha ha ;D Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted July 7, 2009 Super User Posted July 7, 2009 I swear, you make the hand size comparison technique freaking impossible! Quote
Mattlures Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 I was suprised when I looked at the pictures. Normaly calicos look smaller but these looked huge so I knew it would be hard to tell. he he Quote
Bassfisher10 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I like you flipping everyone the bird in the first picture Quote
Super User WRB Posted July 7, 2009 Super User Posted July 7, 2009 Nice Calicos. Football head? only use those on the federal breakwater. Those look like Clemente bass, unless you went south. Didn't see your post in time to guess weights; they look more like 7's, then 5 & 6. WRB Quote
Bassaholic84 Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Matt- I love how you talk like a 8-9 lb LMB is not a trophy bass. DANG YOU AND YOUR BIG BASS WATERS Quote
NH_Bass_Tard Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Crappie are also known as calico bass right? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted July 8, 2009 Super User Posted July 8, 2009 what is this PB stuff all about... PB = Personal Best Quote
