does anyone know of a site that can tell you what time high tide and low tide is for a given area? i have had better luck fishing during high tide and would like to check rather than driving out there and finding that the tide is low.

maybe im naming it incorrectly.  i was out one morning around 8:00 am and the water was rather high.  i went out a few days later around 2-3pm and the water was significantly lower.  i am trying to find where it can tell me when the water is the highest.

heck, it could have been cause it rained a few days prior but im not sure.  i thought the water lowered and raised at specific times of the day

Tides are everywhere !

Most freshwater areas the tide is so minimal it isn't noticeable, but there is a difference.

Many tide charts available but personally I have never seen one for inland areas only coastal and the times vary greatly depending on the global geographic area you are in.

No such thing as a stupid question that's how we learn.

True but me being near saltwater connected to the Chessy and the Atlantic ocean and a pond behind my house .I never seen my pond change with the tide out there i seen wind push my pond water up on what ever side it was blowing from .I even see tide in my bath water  ,All i need is 2 inches of water and its almost a flood tide in there :D

Did any of y'all pay attention in science class or do public schools even teach science any more?

Just because y'all can't see some thing does not mean it aint happening ;)
