crankbait2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 does anyone know of a site that can tell you what time high tide and low tide is for a given area? i have had better luck fishing during high tide and would like to check rather than driving out there and finding that the tide is low. Quote

crankbait2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Author Posted June 27, 2009 maybe im naming it incorrectly. i was out one morning around 8:00 am and the water was rather high. i went out a few days later around 2-3pm and the water was significantly lower. i am trying to find where it can tell me when the water is the highest. heck, it could have been cause it rained a few days prior but im not sure. i thought the water lowered and raised at specific times of the day Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted June 28, 2009 Super User Posted June 28, 2009 The full moon made your water level higher. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted June 28, 2009 Super User Posted June 28, 2009 Tides are everywhere ! Most freshwater areas the tide is so minimal it isn't noticeable, but there is a difference. Many tide charts available but personally I have never seen one for inland areas only coastal and the times vary greatly depending on the global geographic area you are in. No such thing as a stupid question that's how we learn. Quote
Super User Catt Posted June 28, 2009 Super User Posted June 28, 2009 There are tidal movements in every body of water from mud puddles to oceans Last time I was in Ohio it still bordered Lake Erie so the laugh is on y'all Quote
