Bernie Mac Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I know I'll get laughed at with this one but yesterday (not feeling all the well) decided not to go fishing but to fish on the Wii with Rapala Fishing Frenzy. Been fishing this tournament for a while and I was to catch over 30lbs fo fish in 25 minutes on Lake Okeechobee. Well I did it with my first to fish caught (a dream for all of us) and decided to keep (pretend) fishing. On the last fish I caught came in at an outstanding 32" and weighing 36.19lbs... ...now is this at all possible and even for this lake :-? Quote
bass wrangler569 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 If you're talking about bass, that's not possible in any lake unless there was a genetic fluke of absolutely monumental proportions. Quote
Steven Ladner Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 36.19lbs.???? One word- ;D For a largemouth bass, impossible. Quote
Bernie Mac Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 exactly what I thought...no way on earth could a LMB get that big in any water... Quote
aarogb Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Who knows, there could be a 50 lb, LM swimming around, but nobody has caught her yet. Quote

Super User Bassn Blvd Posted June 23, 2009 Super User Posted June 23, 2009 I would even say it's impossible to catch two 15 pounders in the same day on lake "O". Even in a life time for 99% of the people who fish it. Quote
Bernie Mac Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 Quote Who knows, there could be a 50 lb, LM swimming around, but nobody has caught her yet. Well it sure looks like Larry Dahlberg's holding one in the opening of "Hunt for Big Fish" Quote

90x Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 anything is possible, perhaps there's a giant one in the south, that no one could get to. from what i have seen, evolution and location pays a big part. ever see the giant Nile perch in Egypt. Compare that to the perch we fish for. what can you say, there could be a gargantuan bass species somewhere in the world. Quote
