Tanker4lyfe Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Well its been hot lately and the water temps is about 70ish on the surface lake is only 6 ft at the deepest and structure is mostly tules (cat tails). went the other day before sun-up and not one bite not even a topwater boil. there is some grass that is starting to comeup also. SO CAN I GET SOME ADVICE also here is the 10.22lb monster i caught and the other big bass outta the same lake(pond) Quote
Busy Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I'd also try to get into the thickest weeds on the bottom that you can. Quote
aarogb Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Fish the deepest part of lake/pond you can. Don't forget to slow down!!!!!!!! Quote
fishizzle Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 find an area you like and saturate it with soft plastics at a SNAILS pace, like deadsticking senkos, dropshotting and shaky heads Good luck nice bass too Quote
cabullwinkle Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 You gotta think with a lake that shallow and that warm, cover is going to be that more important. The fish can't really swim deeper for cover. Key on those cover spots, weeds, patches, anywhere there are cattails or trees that cast shadows are probably a good idea. Quote
