Many of us have encountered that Bass with more attitude and determination than weight or length.  We use big baits to catch big Bass but every now and then we get a tough guy.

Let's see your pics of Bass the same size as the lures or smaller.  Here's one from last summer......Don't know what he was thinking....

Man I wish I had some pics of some of the little scrappers I got this year on a zara spook and super spook.10-12 inch worms get me some real winners too. The new strike king sexy swimmer has been catching some real peanuts in one of the ponds I fish as well.No it isn't a big bait by any standards, but it is impressive to see a 6-8 inch bass try to smoke it.

I will try to keep this post in mind and take some pics when I get one of those greedy little mini hogs ;D

No pic, but got about a two inch bass on a # 3 Mepps inline once.

Mouth wasn't big enough to get the whole treble in, just one of the hooks.

I've had this happen also and wish I had pics of them as were the lure is bigger than there mouth. Out fishing at one lake me and brothers frequent he set the hook on what he thought was a bigger fish and his line went flying past my head. I asked him what he was doing and he told me to look in the try behind me..seems he set the hook and when he did the fish was so small he snatched it out of the water and it landed in the tree behind me. Wasn't even big enough to lip  ;)

Don't have a pic...thought I did but  guess not...

Caught a 6-7'' bass on a Heddon Original Zara Spook when I fish started fishing spooks.  To be honest, I was glad it hit it.  Was kinda affraid that smaller bass wouldn't hit such a bait but I know better now

Caught a 10 inch walleye on a 9 inch Stick-o. didnt even fit in its mouth.

I don't have a pic, but last week I caught a small bluegill throwing a 5/8 oz Spro Aruku Shad.

The treble hook barely fit in his mouth.

I do not know what he was thinking, but there is no way that whole lure was going to fit.

I've been bassin for 4 decades,so it happens a lot. I too have set the hook and the worm or lizard wizzes by my ear with a scrappy six bass.

That's gumption for ya! I got to thinking, I don't ever recall catching a puny one on a jignpig. Dinks will hit plugs, big topwaters, huge plastics and so on. these guys probably live fast and die young.

This is one bad little fish. He went after the large anaconda. I can't wait to catch him when he is 5lbs. I might need a harness.  ;)

It seems like every year while muskie fishing, I catch a 10" bass on a 12" muskie bait. They're tough little buggers.
