Thad Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Well I finally finished my paper for this survey you guys helped me with. First I have to tell you a little about the class. The class is called Research Methods, basically a class that teaches you how to do research and present it in a scholarly or business manner. At the beginning of the semester we were paired into groups of 5. My group members chose to study the effects of alcohol advertisements that target minors. Boring subject but oh well. A couple months into class one of our members dropped the class and then we had an assignment due. I was the only one to turn anything in and that got me pretty ticked. The teacher suggested I go out on my own and do the project alone. So I started from scratch on my own but the good thing was I got to choose my topic, which had to be communication related. I chose, "What forms of communication do anglers use when seeking information in the sport of fishing." To make a long story short, with your guys help. I turned in my paper last week and did a presentation for the research. I was the only one by myself, the rest had groups of 5. Also know that the teacher is a fairly tough grader. For my presentation I was given an A and the class was staying and talking to me after class, they actually seemed to really enjoy it. I did have one girl ask what an angler was. I just got an email back from my professor telling me my grade for the paper and how much she enjoyed it. I got a 98 out 100. I just want to say thanks again for you that helped out. The paper is in a pdf document below for those that want to see the results and the rest of the paper. This wasn't detailed in the way I would want it but I had to change things to make it more communication related. And Glenn, you were right. I thought about this before I asked you to do it but I didn't have enough time to get enough responses any other way. But all wasn't lost, there was still some good info found. If you guys are still reading this long thing, here it is: www.tournamentlures.com/fishingpaper3.pdf And Stripes, your lure is in the mail. Sorry it took so long, busy week. Thanks Quote

1inStripes Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 No worries Thad. I made my first bass casts of the year yesterday with an ultralight and an *** while waiting for a couple of holes to clear at a golf scramble. You've always got to go prepared to those scrambles. Quote
1inStripes Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I just wanted to follow up and say thanks to Thad for such a beautiful lure. Hopefully it will pull in a double D bass down the road. Thanks again man. Quote
Super User Sam Posted May 12, 2009 Super User Posted May 12, 2009 Radford! Radford University!! The place where the girls/boys ratio is heavy towards more girls!!! Great paper. Even a Virgina Tech prof would have given you a good grade. Now get back to studying and quit chasing all those girls around campus. ;D ;D Quote
