Muad Dib Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 from lookin at the pictures of the road trip i saw the bassresource.com fishing team member and then your forum name on a t shirt. thought it was a cool idea. thinking im gonna design one of my own tshirts same kinda thing maybe some different members and was wondering if glenn or some other guys already sell them/have ideas and whatnot t-rage Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 24, 2009 Super User Posted April 24, 2009 Yeah, me too. I'd love a shirt and a hat, and would buy both to support the site. Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted April 24, 2009 Super User Posted April 24, 2009 It is my understanding that they used to sell shirts an hats but no one bought them Quote
aarogb Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I also remember them saying that they used to sell hats and shirts but quit. I will buy one if they ever start making them again. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted April 24, 2009 Super User Posted April 24, 2009 BigRick, you are correct. BR used to sell T-shirts and caps, but there was very little demand for them. Word has it that Glenn took a financial bath on that little venture. I was lucky enough to buy a T-shirt and cap (which got blown overboard on the road trip) before there were no more available. As for the T-shirt you see me wearing in my avatar, that was Muddy's idea. He had a couple of dozen printed up, sold them at his cost, and that was it. Again, I was lucky enough to end up with one. CatBassin Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I would buy one of each. I would even buy a hoodie if thy had them. Quote
mpspeer Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I would buy but I understand the supply demand thing :-\ Quote
Muad Dib Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 i made a design up at one of the online t shirt making places. but unfortunately you have to buy 6 exact shirts. so i wanted to get my "T-rage" handle on the back and i dont want to buy 6 of the same shirts. so i have to figure something else out. ill put up the link with the design of shirts. kinda generic but kinda kool still t Quote
wagn Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Try using Cafepress.com You can open your own little store and design whatever you want and then just buy a shirt from yourself. It's a little more expenseive but you can buy one shirt at a time. You can make a whole bunch of stuff on there, from t-shirts to coffee mugs. Quote

If that's the case then maybe BR should look into opening their own store on there. That way there can be an "official" shirt, and nobody has to front the money for it. Quote
FishingPirate Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I need a shirt with the jolly roger on it. I might get shot down wearin that thing during present times though. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Cafepress will soak you, very expensive, cheesy quality, beware. It does fit a niche, just not at a high quality level. The Jolly Roger,...don't get me going please, I grew up and still spend a lot of time on the ocean and that flag is not respected by real salt folk. You'll be viewed as the "weekend warrior" who is clueless. It's like their monicker. Anyone flying that flag will receive ZERO help from any captain in Narragansett or Cape Cod Bay. Quote

I agree that it's expensive but at least it lets you design one shirt at a time if you don't have to print a run of them. I had a friend make up some tee-shirts before and give them as gifts. The quality seemed fine to me. Again this wouldn't be a good idea for a bassresource store. But if someone has a design they like and want it on a shirt, it's an easy way to do it. Hey LBH, do you know of a better sight that makes this stuff where you don't have to order a whole bunch? Quote
