Super User roadwarrior Posted March 16, 2009 Super User Posted March 16, 2009 Hit the local store Friday afternoon and it was PACKED! Our stores are being closed and the initial discounts are 10-30%. However that is after discounts if whatever you are buying was already on sale. So, I restricted my Bait Monkey to sale items only. I escaped with only a $183 of stuff I definitely do not need! Better discounts will be offered as the closing gets closer, but if you have something you "really need", don't wait too long. When it's gone, it's gone. No refunds, no exchanges...All sales are final. 8-) Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted March 16, 2009 Super User Posted March 16, 2009 When they "lure" us in with sales, does that make us a,.........................fish? Stuff you didn't need? Must have been a reaction buy/strike. Quote
bigmountaineer Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I need to find one of these near me, where are they mostly located? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 16, 2009 Author Super User Posted March 16, 2009 The company is not closing all stores, just selected stores and the two in Memphis were chosen. Our stores are in the process of liquidation, so these discounts will be greater as time goes on. The prices are not available throughout the chain. 8-) Quote
Super User flechero Posted March 16, 2009 Super User Posted March 16, 2009 Sadly, ours is also on the list of closures. The store manager emailed those of us on his list a few weeks ago about it. So now I'm limited to Academy or wal-mart for my non internet purchases... (our academy & wal-mart are not the flagship stores with big fishing sections, even though we have 2 big lakes locally) Quote

bedman Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Thanks RW! I was able to run by there yesterday and pick up a few items for cheap. They had some real good deals going. I got a rod that I have had my eye for quite awhile. I also loaded up on hooks and line and my favorite baits. Great deals! Quote
