Lipless crank. I go for an off color. I beleive this because, the fish are set on the color of the shad. When they see a different colored lure they take it not knowing what it is and just wanting to get rid of it. This may sound far fetched but it seems to work for me.

Super fluke or really just whatever I grab.

I go with a jerkbait for schooling bass.  I think that a jerkbait resembles a wounded shad quite well and with all those shad running around it's nice to have something different that the bass will key in on.

Anyone ever throw a chatterbait into schooling fish. Seems like the vibration and flash would get a great reaction from feeding fish.

If they're schooling it makes no difference, they hit anything.  I prefer top lure.

Then I guess I am doing it wrong because I have many times where they get so keyed in to the bait they are after that it seems nothing will work at least until you try several things. I have witness a few time where a couple boats would be surrounding the active area throwing the kitchen sink out there and getting nothing until someone stumbles upon that magic bait.Topwater usually works but at times you need to hit a certain depth or toss something that will sink down through mess of bait. You can call my BS now since bass are just way too easy to catch and no challenge ::)

I like spooks the best, also small spinnerbaits burned, and flukes.

I am looking forward to trying small swimbaits such as the money minnow and tru-tungsten 4 inch this year as well

I dont waste my time. "slot fish"

You might want to rethink this:

This was a result of a cast to shad busting bass:

And another - same day: 5 minutes earlier than the one above.

This was another golden opportunity fish:

I forgot to mention: all caught jerking a Senko through the melee.
