NHfroggin Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 His show can be annoying but it is nice for me because he often fish's lake's i fish up here in NH. I met him on lake massabesic last summer, he was not throwing the infamous fleck spinner-bait but he was throwing a wacky rigged worm and he had far more success than i was having. so i wouldn't say that he is a bad angler. i would like to see him fish tournaments tho to see how he does, and who ever watches the show is an idiot may be a little harsh don't you think? Super User Fishing Rhino Posted March 4, 2009 Super User Posted March 4, 2009 Ahh...the codfather...anybody who has his hair professionaly styled in a salon before going fishing loses all credability as far as Im concerned I know some bald people who feel that way about anyone with hair. Seriously, I have never watched his show. His goofy commercials were enough to turn me off. Quote
Redhed Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Well I'm not going to let the idiot comment hide my opinion. I think he's entertaining i find it entertaining as well. i would love to see him fish against the another loud mouth --- Ike Quote
deadeye32. Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Charlie Moore to me is the definition of a "Tool". The whole codfater segment is one of those things where I actually feel embarrased watching it. So stupid. On the other hand, I like City Limits, and Ike is a proven fisherman that just gets super excited about the sport. I thought it was hilarious when he was doing those 10-12 snorting fist pumps during the classic. For some reason it ticked my wife off so bad and I just couldnt stop laughing. Quote
Crappiebasser Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 I met Charlie at ICAST 2005 before I was as in to fishing as I am now so I really didn't know who he was but he seemed nice enough. He does act mentally challenged on the show. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted March 4, 2009 Super User Posted March 4, 2009 I consider watching his show, a waste of electricity. He's one of the most irritating people on TV. Falcon Quote
Super User Tin Posted March 4, 2009 Super User Posted March 4, 2009 Its time for Charlie to make a move and fish a tour......he has made enough money off this venture to support a tour run so now its time to validate his fishing..... SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT CHARLIE!! 8-) He fished the Foxwoods Trail around New England and a few others and did pretty good. He's better off on NESN imo... Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted March 4, 2009 Super User Posted March 4, 2009 I consider watching his show, a waste of electricity. He's one of the most irritating people on TV. Falcon You nailed it. Quote
smallie.huntin Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 When he was on NESN I watched it because he would sometimes have celtics or red sox players on the show which was pretty cool, although I defiantly wouldn't watch the show hoping to learn any new fishing techniques. Quote
Zordy Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 I haven't seen too much of Charlie Moore tv, but what I've seen, I like. He has a lot of energy and he's really entertaining. Quote
shadyhaven Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 what happened to being excited to fish or trying to excite others? what happened to having fun? that is all he tries to do. as far as him being a spoiled rich boy...read up on him. his father kicked out of the family business and his bait shop went out of business. he started his whole show by himself and even found his own sponsors! he created it all himself. he may be annoying but he deserves credit. and he is definetly doing more for the sport than others simply by showing that you can be excited and have fun with the sport of fishing! so instead of calling someone an idiot maybe we should appreciate the fact that he is on our side! just my 2cents... paragon Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 He may be the most annoying, but I still think the worst fishing show is Charlie Ingrams Fishing University. I agree i hate him and his ugly,stupid,2 tone, diamond gusset jeans. Really who is going to wear those, and he looks so uncomfortable in them. Quote
502largemouth Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Shady, this is just the way it is.....I agree with you but it seems that anyone who isnt the quiet, reserved, alterboy on the lake during a tourney is considered a loud mouth and bad for the sport. I will never understand it, Ike and Charlie Moore together in just their combined four pinky toes do more for fishing than any 100 peopl who complain about them. Be positive, if more young people get involved in the sport how can it be a bad thing? I am 37 and the father of three and I would have no problem telling anyone in the world at the top of my lungs that theres my boy/girl, if they were in Ikes position and acted same as him. I would be so proud. Just my 2 Cyas, D Quote
what a corker Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I agree, Charlie Moore does alot for the sport and there is nothing wrong with getting fired up about something you like....but he does it in such an annoying and idiotic way....I can't stand to watch him, since he is not that good of an angler and I can't stand his stupid demeanor....I live in NH and all I can think is that the rest of the country thinks that if your from New England and you bass fish....then that's what your like....he should talk less and fish more....and maybe he might catch something bigger than a 4 pounder!....which doesn't even qualify for a picture on our boat....if I want to be entertained I'll watch a hockey game or movie, etc...if I want to watch fishing on TV, I'll just about watch anything but Charlie Moore. Super User Hammer 4 Posted March 17, 2009 Super User Posted March 17, 2009 And on top of all that...I don't give a rats a$$$ what his producer listens to as far as music goes...sooooo boreing.. Quote
toolpush Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Charlie Moore to me is the definition of a "Tool". What does this mean? Is it bad and if so should I be concerned and change my screenname? Quote
what a corker Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Toolpush....a "tool" would be a person like Charlie Moore...a ********* or jacka$$ would probably sum it up pretty good. No need for concern....you obviously aren't like him since your holding up a hog (in your picture) and Moore can barely catch 4 pounders. Quote
smallie.huntin Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Whenever someone gets to the "top" whether it be Charlie Moore or Ike there will always be people sitting around hating on them. There is a reason Ike is a pro fisherman and Charlie has his own TV show... Not defending anyone, just merely observing. Quote
farmpond1 Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 He's way too narcisistic for my taste. How he ever got his own show is beyond me. Or that it's ran for more than one season. As I've said before, I'd like to beat Charlie Moore-with a stick. ;D Quote
502largemouth Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 you obviously aren't like him since your holding up a hog (in your picture) and Moore can barely catch 4 pounders. I feel bad now, the one in my pic is only 4.1 :'( Cyas, D Quote

So your being prepped for for open heart surgery. Your doctor comes in from a successful surgery. He begins to jump up and down screaming "YEAH, THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' BOUT" He does a break dance and spins on the floor. The question is ..., does it give you comfort knowing that he is so enthusiastic about his job, or do you postpone the operation because you think he has a screw loose, and you look for someone who looks and acts more professionally. The one who has done it so many times, success is no surprise to him? I guess class and dignity are old school, no place for that now-days. Just my penny's worth. Quote

Super User J Francho Posted March 19, 2009 Super User Posted March 19, 2009 I was jerking your chain there. I don't generally mix beer w/ fishing, but from the two times I saw the Charlie Moore show, it seemed more about just being a goof with fishing as the backdrop, and less about being a pro fisherman.
