trapperjon Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Anyways I have heard of it but I don't really know what it is. How close is it to actual wieght of you fish? T Thanks Jon Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 9, 2009 Super User Posted April 9, 2009 Check out the articles in the Fishing Articles section for the Forum's formula. I was taught to use: Length X Length X Girth 1200 Both ways will be close to the fish's weight. Quote

Super User flechero Posted April 9, 2009 Super User Posted April 9, 2009 The best formula involves only basic math and most of it's done by a cash register. $20-$30 buys a decent digital scale. Weighing a fish is the ONLY accurate formula. Quote
BUCKEYEone Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 If I dont have a scale and there is no one else around I use the following formula: weight of current Personal Best bass x 1.10, + cost of lures lost on that outing (dollars=Ounces) = what that fish must have weighed! Quote
