So if i go out and fish em is that a big deal? or is it bad?... just dont know how they do it up here.. i cant believe there is a season for bass ...  So should i fish them? may is still a month away

Nope.  Do it right, and give us bass fisherman a good name.  There's a "season for a reason" so just chill until May, and use that time to come to this forum, and learn how to catch 'em come legal fishing time.

Cheers!

Yup, don't even try. If you do need your fishing fix panfish and roughfish are open year round.

And remember, if you travel into the northern zone it is catch and release only and you may only use artificals with barbless hooks from May2-June19

Check out the WI DNR website for more information.

Ok... so maybe someone can help me with this one here.... I live in Florida and am not familiar with bass "seasons".   I catch them year round.. I also fish the salt and there are many "seasons for snook, etc.."  but you can still catch them year round ,, its just certain times when you can keep them.  ?so in a bass "season" are you really not allowed to even target them when your out of the "season?"

that is the question. I sent the MN DNR that question a couple weeks ago, so far no response. how do they know what my intent is? maybe I am a complete idiot and I think that 10" texas rigged worms catch crappies. how do you prove intent unless I keep a bass?

I'm from Wisconsin too and hate the fact that we have a "season" to catch fish in. Don't break the law though, if you get caught it's a huge fine and you lose your license for a few years (I think).

If you still want to fish, get some panfish gear. This is open all year and still a good time (plus it tastes better in the frying pan).
